The Maryland Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC) Central Region encourages local businesses to partake in procurement opportunities with the State of Maryland and the Federal Government. Below is a brief listing of some of the agencies to contact for further information.

Maryland Department of Budget and Management - Procurement Unit
The Procurement Unit validates the proper application of State procurement laws and regulations and the use of prudent business practices by Executive Branch agencies for the proper acquisition of services and information technology.

Maryland Department of Business Economic Development (DBED)
The mission of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development is to stimulate private investment and create jobs, attract new businesses to the State, encourage the expansion and retention of existing companies, and provide businesses in Maryland with workforce training and financial assistance.

Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT)

SBTDC Lead Center assists entrepreneurs to establish, manage and expand their businesses by applying the latest technology and proven methods to counseling, training, technical assistance, research, and other specialized services.
