    Client Success Story

Fatima Dicko, Founder/CEO of mybestbox

(SBDC Client of Gabe Omaru)

mybestbox (mbb) is an e-commerce lifestyle brand aiming to help women jump-start and maintain healthy lifestyles in a way that is convenient and affordable.  mbb assembles boxes with essential, high-quality products that cover a broad range of health and wellness areas.  mbb's affordable price points will be made possible by serving as a marketing, selling, and data research platform for healthy consumer product brands.  Additionally, the company researches current market trends and best practices for healthy living and publishes findings to its website's blog with supplementary links to scientific studies.  In conjunction with sales, mbb will donate portions of profit to feeding the underprivileged in Baltimore and to organizations providing clean water to people in Africa.

SBDC Business Consultant, Gabe Omaru was instrumental in helping mbb get connected to key Insurance Representatives and Accountants. While the team was developing the go-to market strategy, Gabe helped provide tools and guidance on financial projection modeling as well as key marketing tactics. Ongoing work with Gabe will help plan future scale-up work for the company. For further information on mybestbox, please click here.
